Crimson Tide Women's Soccer – www.rolltide.com
Head Coach Wes Hart took over in April of 2014 with the mission of transforming Crimson Tide Soccer into a perennial contender for SEC championships and a player in the national title picture. Coach Hart has championships and various accolades on his resume at virtually every coaching stop. He continually finds ways to empower young women to be their best and conquer whatever barriers to success are in their way. His experiences as a 6-year starter in the MLS and as a national champion and All-American in college give Coach Hart a unique platform when relating to players and their quest for excellence. Coach Hart was a key component to the best 2-year run in Florida State women’s soccer history. After he was hired at FSU in 2013, his impact was immediately felt by pushing the Seminoles into the national title match for just the second time in program history as they finished as the NCAA National Runner-Up. This was outdone the following year when FSU won the 2014 NCAA National Championship – the first and only in program history. Before his stint with the Seminoles, Coach Hart was part of four youth national championships in his role as Director of Coaching at Colorado Rush – one of the top youth soccer clubs in the U.S.

  • Crimson Tide Soccer is looking for talented young women, but also driven young women……those who are prepared mentally, emotionally, and physically – to take this program to the top.
  • SEC – Alabama competes in the Southeastern Conference – a Power 5 league. Our facilities, support services, and budgets are top in the country. Every home match and every conference match – home or away – is broadcast online or on national TV through the SEC Network with ESPN level quality.
  • Two UA Soccer players started in the World Cup last year. Current junior Celia Jimenez Delgado started all 3 matches for Spain. Three-year starter Merel van Dongen started two matches for the Netherlands in Canada last summer after signing a pro contract with Ajax in Amsterdam last Spring.
  • Our team maintains a 3.6 GPA. UA Athletics and Coach Hart are serious about our student-athletes preparing for the next step in life. Alabama was the only D1 soccer program to have two 1st or 2nd Team Academic All-Americans last year.
